Adam Deems must have died before 1830. On census in Hopewell Township, Muskingum County, Ohio, page 182. Sarah was the head of the household. With her 1 male 20/30, 1 female 15/20 and 1 female 10/15. Her son Thomas was living near by in 1830 showing his age as 20/30. In 1849 Sarah Deems widow of Adam was living in Carrolltown, Carroll County, Indiana. On the 1850 census she was living with a daughter there. In 1849 she sold land in Shelby County, Ohio, Deed Vol. II, 80 acres to David Roland. Issued to her in February, 1836. John Deems also received 40 acres in 1836 and James Roland received 80 acres at the same location on the same date. Listed in the Index of Land Entries and Patents, Shelby Co. Ohio.
