He was born Oct. 2, 1910, in Eaton, W.Va., a son of the late Walter and Lucy Reynolds Boston.

Homer retired from Wood County Schools and taught Auto Body at Parkersburg High School. Prior to that, he worked at Chittum Buick in Parkersburg, where he was the body shop foreman. He also worked at McClinton Chevrolet, Dils Ford, The American Viscose Co. and Logan Auto Co. Auto Body Repair, one of the first in the area.

Homer was a member of Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna.

He is survived by his son-in-law, Herbert Dawson and wife, Dorothy, of Washington, W.Va; three grandchildren, Carla Dowler and her husband, John, of Pine Knoll Shores, N.C., Connie Frazier and her husband, Craig, of Washington, W.Va., and Carol Bialkowski and her husband, Alan, of Newport, N.C; four great-grandchildren, Matthew and Mark Frazier and Julie Shepard and husband, Ray, and Jonathan Dowler; and two great-great-grandchildren, Dawson and Hallie Shepard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Stukey Boston; a daughter, Joan Dawson; one brother, Byrl Boston; and one sister, Thelma Myers Dryden.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with the Rev. Michael Richards and the Rev. Sandy Runnion officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday and until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
