Phillips and Edna Jenkins Phillips. Mrs. Deem was a homemaker and attended the former Deem Chapel Church of Beatrice, W.Va. She is survived by four sons, Deward M. Deem Jr. and wife, Marie, of Russell, Kan., Philip R. Deem of Beatrice, Roger D. Deem and wife, Linda, of Beatrice and Allen M. Deem of Harrisville; two brothers, Calvin Phillips of Harrisville and Abner J. Phillips Jr. of Parkersburg; two sisters, Imogene Bookman of Scottsville, Ky., and Georgia Deem of Veto Lake, Ohio; five grandchildren, Kevin Deem of Wichita, Kan., Keith Deem of Russell, Roger D. Deem II of Parkersburg, Christopher J. Deem of Parkersburg and Amy J. Hefner of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Deem was preceded in death by her husband, Deward M. Deem; four brothers; two sisters; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Deem. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with the Rev. Harlan Hodge officiating. Burial will be in the Deem Cemetery, Beatrice. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.1 |
