Beverly was born on Nov. 21, 1941 in Parkersburg, W.Va., the daughter of Delbert Sams and Helen (Deem) Sams. Beverly was a devoted mother and home-maker and a founding member of the Northside Baptist Church of Newark. She was also a dedicated donator to various charities including The Children's Miracle Network for 24 years.

Beverly passed from this life into the arms of God. Those of you that knew her knew that she was a very kind, caring, and Godly lady.

Besides her grandparents and parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her six-month old daughter, Kay Ann Connolly in 1961. She had told family members this week that she loved them and she was going to heaven. She will be missed by many.

Most people have a "Rally" period before they pass over. Beverly had an entire day to tell all of her loved ones how much she loved them. This was a miracle in and of its self, since she had been unable to speak at all for near two weeks. Such a witness she was giving God all the credit and peaceful release, looking forward to seeing him and being in his care, telling everyone about God's love. As she got ready to go she said, "I love you too. I'm going to heaven. Bye-bye."
